A Sunny Saturday

Last Saturday we had perfect weather in orange county, ca. Larry and I decided to take advantage of it and go down to Newport Beach. We also wanted to get some exercise as well so we walked down a part of the beach we hadn't before. We ended up walking a total of 2 miles in the sand.It was a great leg workout. I also spotted a small pod of dolphins swimming by. I didn't get any photos of them but I did take some photos with iphone.

Hello August

I didn't intend to take a blogging break but it happened. Life + 2 jobs got in the way the last few weeks. It's wedding season so my little business is doing great - better than I expected. We did escape life for a little while ago when we went to sit on the beach. We went to a new beach down by Dana Point that we had not been to yet. Here are a couple photos I took with the new camera. I am still learning but it's so fun.

Highlights of July:

Where did July go? It just flew by. . .

• 16 days at the gym or P90X
• Again very happy with my Etsy sales for this month. I hope it keeps going (fingers crossed) 
• Made it over to Palm Springs for a nice relaxing weekend in the beginning of the month
• Starting learning how to use my new camera & accounting software (very time consuming)  

Plans for August:

• Having Lasik eye surgery this month ( blog post coming)
• Looking forward to a mini vacation for a friends wedding
• Reorganizing the office - we now have two desks ( blog post coming)

Gnome Adventures - Salt Creek Beach

Last weekend we took advantage of the nice weather and went down to Dana Point to Salt Creek Beach. We had a picnic lunch - which to us means we picked up Subway. Of course our gnome had to come with us. This was his first trip to the beach.

Beach day mini book

Last fall I did Elise's BIG mini book class. It was a super fun workshop with loads & loads of great information. The workshop was all about creating mini books. I wanted to share my 4" x 4" mini book I created using some of techniques from the workshop. I love anything mini so I had it was perfect for the photos from a couple hours spent at the beach. I normally scrapbook everything throughout the year in 12x12 format so this was a nice change of pace.
