Easter decor

This was my second year hosting Easter at our house. Last year I was so worried about my house being clean & getting the food ready I didn't even take any photos. This year I made time to take a few photos of how I decorated the house for Easter.

I still want to buy more decorations for each holiday but that will happen over time. I love shopping the sales after each holiday.

I love the rabbit in the carrot car I picked up a Michael's this year.
I also hung the Happy Easter banner I made last year.

Centerpiece: I put some Easter grass on a cake plate and added a candle and some fake eggs.
Below the cake plate are some fun fake moss rabbits.

I created and printed fun rabbit place cards.

I had a few appetizers on the kitchen table for people to snack on until dinner.
I made and printed the fun mice cheese labels.

DIY Striped Easter Egg Card

I created this fun striped Easter card and wanted to show you how easy it was to make.

Finished card.

Supplies needed:
  • Stripes of card stock 2 shades of the same color (about 4 to 5 colors).
  • Blank card & envelope
  • Scissors
  • Egg shape (You can use any color of paper you have, your going to cover it up anyway.)
  • Adhesive
1: You will start to adhere the strips of paper to the egg.

2: Once the whole egg is covered you will want to trim the extra off the egg.

3: Once your egg is all cut you will want to start on the card. I added a extra strip at the top so my egg would be in the center of the card. The 2nd strip is the darker color of the strip that is one my egg.

Keep added the darker colored strips all the way down the card in the order that is on the egg. My strips are pretty close to the same width so they will match up once I put the egg on the card. I had a little extra space on the bottom as well so I just added another yellow strip.

Finished product: Just adhere your egg to the card.

A fun and colorful Easter egg card.

Handmade Easter Cards

I try to make handmade cards when I can instead of buying them at the store. They are fun to make and I think they are more personal that way too.I made 3 cards - each with a similar design to send to my family. I found yesterday they received them so now I can share them with you.

Here are all the cards, each on has the same elements just a little different.
I hadn't used my colored pencils in ages so I thought I would use them to make the die cuts pop.

On this photo you can see I how used the colored pencils. I outlined the title "Happy Easter",
I used a couple different greens for the grass and also colored the Easter basket.
I purchased these big jelly bean brads at a scrapbooking expo back in Feb.

Inside of the cards. To cover the brads I used a fun piece of paper.
I embellished the bunny die cut with a googly eye and colored their ears.
