New in etsy shop: Custom Initials Place Cards

Wedding season has hit. I am been so busy but thankful for all the wedding orders. I was able to take a break and create this new custom initials place card design. This maybe one of my best ideas yet. For a small set up fee I can create you matching place cards and table numbers using the initials you provide me.

In other news my new digital SLR camera came in the mail last week. I am head over heels for it. I will share some photos later this week.

Scrapbook Layouts

I went scrapbooking on Saturday night with my friend Cindy. We go to a local scrapbook store and we crop for 6 hours (6 p.m. to midnight) for a fee. The store is open so if we need supplies we can buy them and they provide snacks and prizes. Here are a few shoots of some pages I did.

This is a 12x12 with a grid already printed on it. I cut my  photos into squares and placed them on the page. Then I cut sold colors of matching cardstock to finish the look. The sign photo I kept as. I really liked how it came out but I would only want to do this time of layout once in while since it takes some time to cut the photos.

Larry's birthday dinner @ Rockin Baja in Newport beach. I took these 3 action shots and wanted a easy way to display them. This film strip idea seemed like best way to do it. I embellished the page with a crab embellishment and a little take out menu I grabbed at the restaurant.

This was my fun page of the night. I decided to print these beach photos in wallet size. I feel lately I need to mix it up. I normally just scarpbook 4x6 photos. This page has a lot of fun details - ribbons, bling, embellishments and even colored clips that look like they are holding the photo frame up.

Custom work

I love creating custom pieces for special occasions or for anytime of year. I wanted to share with you a custom gift bag label I created. The gift bag was given to out of state guests for a wedding in California. Each bag had some snacks and bottles of water. I based the label design off the wedding invitation design. The label was created by 3 different pieces - the navy blue background square, the orange circle and the couples initials on top in white. It really popped off the kraft paper bag the customer picked out.

Any plans this weekend? I am excited to go scrapbooking on Saturday night for 6 hours with a friend of mine. I will share some of my layouts next week.

New in etsy shop: Wedding Table Numbers

I have been working away at some new items for the shop. I have created two new table number sets with bird accents that match the bird place cards.

I am so happy with how they turned out. They are 5.5" wide by 7" tall when folded. Each number is cut out and backed with a matching color of your choice.

Gnome Adventures: Legoland

Larry and I have talked about going to Legoland for 4 years almost as long as we have been together. We finally went on Sunday with my parents. I have to say it is more for the little kids but we are all kids at heart. We had a lot of fun, we did a couple rides, toured miniland USA and saw the aquarium.

New Sally Hansen nail stickers. Easy to use and lasted just about 2 weeks.

Highlights of May:

• 15 days at the gym or P90X yoga
• Just made sales goals for Etsy  - good thing there were 31 days in May!
• Had a great time back home in Sioux City, IA
• Read: The girl who played with fire 
• My extended birthday celebration was great. I was lucky enough to celebrate with family & friends through out the month.
