Golf ball business cards

Did you know I went to college for graphic design? I did, I may not do it full time but I still love designing. I had a client who was starting a new business in the golf industry - Target Golf Association California. I knew exactly what I wanted to do for his business cards - a golf ball! I use gotprint.com for my round business cards and this was the perfect idea to use the round shape. It was fun staging them to take photos. They were featured on the gotprint blog.

All photographs taken by me (Tiffany).

Our engagement photos

I wanted to share with your a few our engagement photos we had taken back in January. We went to a local outdoor shopping center called "The Lab Antimall" it's pretty funky. It had the best backdrops for photos. Our friend Joaquin of RSM Family Tree Photography took the photos.

Detour Adventure

We went to Palm Springs for a little getaway this weekend. It was nice and relaxing until Sunday. When we were getting ready to leave I checked sigalert. Which if your not in California its a website that shows you how the traffic is moving on the freeways.

When I looked online this is what I saw - RED. Red is not good. Red means you are stopped or going the speed of snail. That red on the map belows equals 3 to 4 hours to go 16 miles. That's right - 16 miles. Out of the 110 miles we needed drive to home.
Since the freeway was no longer a option to get home, instead we took highway 74 which is the mountain pass two lane road. Normally we wouldn't take this since the freeway is faster (if not red). It only took us 2.5 hour to get home this way. Which was great, around our normal drive time but you don't get views like this from the freeway. The mountain pass has tons of switchbacks and not a easy drive but it was a nice clear day. Well worth it on this day but not everyday.

Palm Springs is down there in the valley.

DIY Valentines Day Card

I wanted to share with you this super cute and super easy DIY Valentine's Day card I made this year.

What you need: blank card, envelope, scraps of paper, a fun embellishment
and adhesive of some kind.

Glue your scraps paper to the front of the card, they don't need to be straight or the same sizes. Any over hang just cut off with scissors. You could also you washi tape.

Now your ready to add your embellishment.

I had this die cut elephant left over from a different project, I added a small heart and a googly eye to finish him off. You could use anything or even just cut out some hearts.

For the inside I kept it simple with just a tag I had laying around
and wrote Happy Valentine's Day on it.

There you have it a super simple and cute Valentine's day card with just what
you had laying around you craft room.

All you have to do is leave a comment & your email address below about what your doing for Valentine's Day and a winner will be randomly choosen on Monday, February 6th.

The "Wood you be mine?" tag is a fun play on words with you adding the piece of "wood". It could be a branch from your backyard, a simple wooden block from craft store or just look around your house (a wooden spoon maybe).

International readers are welcome to leave a comment but I can't guarantee the tag will make it to you in time for Valentine's Day.
