I am so very happy. I had my 1000th & 1001st sale today. The item(s) sold are going to a wonderful etsy customer. She is throwing a baby shower for her best friend. Her theme is mama and baby (bird). The theme is birds and she ordered some light blue and light pink birds. I am going to include more bird goodies for cupcake toppers, confetti and more!

Giant Orange Balloon

Last year Larry and I went up in the air by the Giant Orange Balloon in Irvine, CA. We had seen this big orange ball in the sky for years and finally did it ourselves.

The orange balloon goes 400 ft into the sky above where the future Orange County Great Park in Irvine will be. I don't when the park will be done but it was fun to see orange county from the sky.

I am only 10 sales away from 1000! I joined etsy in January of 2009 and started selling paper embellishments in June 2009. I can't believe in less than 2 years later I would be at almost 1000 sales.

Gnome Adventures - Salt Creek Beach

Last weekend we took advantage of the nice weather and went down to Dana Point to Salt Creek Beach. We had a picnic lunch - which to us means we picked up Subway. Of course our gnome had to come with us. This was his first trip to the beach.





He helped put the date in the sand.

Beach day mini book

Last fall I did Elise's BIG mini book class. It was a super fun workshop with loads & loads of great information. The workshop was all about creating mini books. I wanted to share my 4" x 4" mini book I created using some of techniques from the workshop. I love anything mini so I had it was perfect for the photos from a couple hours spent at the beach. I normally scrapbook everything throughout the year in 12x12 format so this was a nice change of pace.

I am half Irish so I am wearing my kelly green sweater today and a light up shamrock necklace my parents gave me. I am the most decked out Irish girl at work today ;)

To do list

My to do list actually consists of more than just one list. I have multiple lists everywhere. On my blackberry, on a notepad next to my laptop at home, two notepads next to my work computer (one for work and one for personal).

Here is a sneak peak of my to do list:

• I need to put more Kleenex in my car (I have major allergies)
• Start on my new business card design 
• Start thinking of ideas for Easter cards
• Make a chalk board sign - I have been seeing these round the blog and etsy world a lot. 
• Buy dog treats. Yogi would not be happy if we ran out of treats.

Gnome Adventures - Joshua Tree

I would like to introduce you to the Gnome Adventures. Larry (my boyfriend) gave me the Travelocity Gnome for Christmas. I was so excited I love gnomes.

Here I am on Christmas when I opened him.



The first trip we made with our gnome was to Joshua Tree National Park. The landscape looks like your on a different planet. We drove up from Palm Springs just for the day. They have a short loop you can take by car around the park.

I found this rock with hole worn through it and he fit just on the other side. This is my favorite shot I took of him on the adventure.

I love how the color and lighting came out on this plant.

The view is breathtaking even with the fog/smog.

If you haven't noticed I love to take photos. Being a creative person and scrapbooker I like to take tons of photos to choose from when I get home.

Meet Yogi

Meet my dog Yogi. He is a 3 year old malitpoo (Maltese poodle mix).He fun and lovable little dog. I couldn't ask for a better dog. He is not your average white maltipoo which I like. He is a mix of gray and brown. He was much more brown as puppy but his hair changed as he got older. He still has some brown in his ears. He is a very good sport and lets me put shirts and Halloween costumes on him. I think he kinda likes it.

Here is Yogi at only at couple months old. This is my favorite photo of him.
He looks like a little stuffed toy, he only weighted 2 lbs.

We always use a harness so we don't pull on his neck.
